Dupont Silicone Masterbatches Selection Guide (50% – Pelletized)
Grade | Carrier | Application & Benefits |
DuPont MB50-001 Masterbatch | PP | When added to polypropylene or similar thermoplastics, improves its flow & processing like better mould filling, less extruder torque, internal lubrication & mould release. At higher dosage improves surface properties such as lubricity, slip, lower COF, scratch, mar & abrasion resistance. |
DuPont MB50-002 Masterbatch | LDPE | When added to LDPE or similar thermoplastics, improves its flow & processing like better mould filling, less extruder torque, internal lubrication & mould release. At higher dosage improves surface properties such as lubricity, slip, lower COF, scratch, mar & abrasion resistance. |
DuPont MB50-012 Masterbatch | PET | When added to PET or similar thermoplastics, improves its flow & processing like better mould filling, less extruder torque, internal lubrication & mould release. At higher dosage improves surface properties such as lubricity, slip, lower COF, scratch, mar & abrasion resistance. |
DuPont MB50-320 Masterbatch | EVA | When added to EVA it improves its flow & processing like better mould filling, less extruder torque, internal lubrication & mould release |
DUPONT MB50-020 MASTERBATCH | Silicone | It is designed to be used as additive in resin compatible systems to improve processing. Silicone-based plastic additives have been used in the plastics industry for several years to improve the mold release and flow of thermoplastics. They are effective in this role, although until now some difficulties have been experienced in the accurate incorporation of low-viscosity liquids into thermoplastic melts without use of specialized equipment. |
DUPONT MB25-381 MASTERBATCH | Silicone | Additive for polypropylene and Polyethylene compatible systems |
MULTIBASE™MB50-313 | LLDPE | MULTIBASE™ additives bring multi-faceted benefits to yarn and fiber applications, as illustrated by a synthetic turf application. |
MULTIBASE™MB25-235 | LDPE | DuPont MULTIBASE™ MB25-235 Masterbatch is a pelletized formulation containing 25% of an ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) siloxane polymer dispersed in low density polyethylene (LDPE). |
MULTIBASE™ AMB-12235 | LDPE | Stable, long-lasting slip additives are critical for reducing stress on low-density polyethylene (LDPE) film used in high volume, highspeed form-fill-seal (FFS) packaging operations. |
MULTIBASE™ HMB-190 | PC/ABS | Noise reduction is a pressing issue for the automotive industry. Ultra-quiet electric vehicles make interior noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) more obvious. Autonomous cars – which promise to transform the cabin into a haven for relaxation and entertainment – demand a tranquil interior environment. |
